Private car from SFO to anywhere in San Francisco. Fixed price before you fly, flight tracking and meet & greet.

About San Francisco International

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) sits on the bay shore south of the city, in San Mateo County. Harvey Milk Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and the International Terminal (A and G gates) are joined by AirTrain, which runs 24 hours a day and is free to ride.

Reserving a private transfer locks in a fixed US-dollar fare before you book, with tolls and the airport fee included. We keep track of your flight, adjust the pickup to when you really land, and share your driver's name and phone number in advance.

Common trips from SFO head to Union Square and the Financial District, the Moscone Center, Fisherman's Wharf, Palo Alto and San Jose, Oakland and the East Bay, and Napa and Sonoma wine country.

Getting from SFO to San Francisco

BART leaves from a station on the Departures level of the International Terminal, reached from the other terminals by free AirTrain, and serves San Francisco, northern San Mateo County and the East Bay. Uber and Lyft use Level 5 of the Domestic Garage or a Departures-level island at the International Terminal, and taxis load at Arrivals-level islands. A private car suits travelers with bags, groups, and trips down the Peninsula.

Arrival tips

  1. Uber and Lyft for Terminals 1 to 3 pick up on Level 5 of the Domestic Garage; International Terminal pickups use center-island zones 12 to 17 on the Departures level.
  2. Taxis load at the center islands on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level of every terminal, with coordinators on duty from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m.
  3. Terminal 3 construction has closed some curbside lanes and baggage carousels 1 to 3; follow posted signs to the garage and BART.
  4. AirTrain's Red Line circles all terminals, garages and the BART station in about nine minutes.
  5. For a pre-booked ride, your confirmation gives the meeting point for your terminal, with the driver's name and phone number sent before landing.

SFO transfer questions

How long is the drive from SFO to downtown San Francisco?

It depends on traffic on US-101 and city streets, which varies a lot between morning, evening and weekend hours, so we do not quote a fixed figure. SFO itself does not publish a standard drive time. If you need to arrive by a set time, build in extra margin on weekday afternoons and during big conventions.

Where do international passengers come out at SFO?

After U.S. Customs and Immigration, international passengers enter the Arrivals Level lobby of the International Terminal, where SFO has a signed Meeting Point. App rides from this terminal load on the Departures level, while your private transfer confirmation gives the exact meeting point to use.

How does Terminal 3 construction affect arrivals?

Terminal 3 is being modernized on its west side. Baggage carousels 1 to 3 are closed, the old AirTrain station for Terminal 3 is closed, and United passengers using AirTrain board at the combined Terminals 2 and 3 station. Signs route walkers to the garage, so allow a few extra minutes after collecting bags.

Can I book SFO transfers to Silicon Valley or wine country?

Yes. Many riders head south to Palo Alto or San Jose, or north across the Golden Gate to Napa and Sonoma. The fixed price shown at booking already includes tolls and the airport fee, and child seats can be requested. There is no cancellation charge up to 24 hours before pickup, Pacific time.
