About Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is about three miles south of downtown Fort Lauderdale, close to Port Everglades, the Broward County Convention Center and the beaches. Passengers use four numbered terminals, with a fifth under development.
Our FLL transfer is a private car booked in advance at a fixed US dollar price that includes tolls and the airport fee. We follow your flight and adjust the pickup to your landing, and you can cancel without charge up to 24 hours before pickup.
FLL rides most often go to Port Everglades cruise terminals, Fort Lauderdale beach hotels, Hollywood, Boca Raton and Miami.

Getting from FLL to Miami
Each FLL terminal has a taxi podium on the lower level, with fares regulated by Broward County, and app rides use designated pickup areas on the lower arrivals level. Broward County Transit buses serve the airport, and Brightline runs a connector shuttle between its South Florida stations and FLL. Because the airport is close to the cruise port and beaches, many visitors prefer a pre-booked car that waits for their flight and has room for luggage.
Arrival tips
- U.S. Customs for international arrivals is in Terminals 1 and 4, so allow time for passport control before you exit.
- Ground transportation is on the lower arrivals level; your confirmation gives the meeting point for your terminal.
- Terminal assignments have been shifting at FLL, so confirm your arrival terminal with your airline on the day of travel.
- Cruise passengers arriving the morning of sailing should allow a buffer; we track your flight, but ships do not wait.
FLL transfer questions
How long is the drive from FLL to downtown Fort Lauderdale or Port Everglades?
The airport is about three miles south of downtown Fort Lauderdale and sits next to Port Everglades, so these are short trips. The drive time depends on traffic on US-1 and I-595 and on cruise-day congestion at the port. Your fixed price, with tolls and the airport fee included, is shown before you book.
Which terminal will I arrive at in Fort Lauderdale?
FLL has four terminals in use. Southwest operates from Terminal 1, JetBlue mainly from Terminal 3, and Terminal 4 handles many international flights. Because terminal assignments are changing as the airport expands, check with your airline before you travel. Your confirmation gives the meeting point for the terminal you land at.
Can I book a transfer from FLL to Miami?
Yes. Many travelers land at Fort Lauderdale and continue south to Miami, Miami Beach or PortMiami. Enter your full destination when booking to see the fixed price in US dollars, including tolls. Rides are operated by licensed, insured local car service companies, and child seats are available on request.
What vehicle do I need for a cruise group from FLL?
Cruise travelers often carry large suitcases. A Sedan takes 3 passengers with 3 bags, a Minivan takes 6 passengers with 6 bags, and a Sprinter Van carries up to 14 passengers for family groups or friends sailing together. Choose by luggage count as well as headcount.
