Private car from JFK to anywhere in New York. Fixed price before you fly, flight tracking and meet & greet.

About John F. Kennedy International

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) lies on Jamaica Bay in southeastern Queens, about 15 miles by highway from Midtown Manhattan. Its passenger terminals are linked to each other, to rental cars and to the city's rail network by AirTrain JFK.

With our pre-booked JFK airport transfer, you see a fixed price in US dollars before booking, with tolls and the airport fee included. We follow your flight and set the pickup to your actual landing time, and you receive your driver's name and phone number before you land.

Most rides from JFK head to Manhattan hotels and offices, with frequent trips to Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island and the other New York airports.

Getting from JFK to New York

Licensed yellow taxis line up outside every terminal and charge a regulated flat fare to Manhattan, while Uber and Lyft riders follow signs to the Ride App Pick-Up areas. AirTrain JFK runs to Jamaica, for the subway and Long Island Rail Road, and to Howard Beach for the subway; it is economical but involves carrying bags through a transfer. A pre-booked car makes most sense with heavy luggage, children or a late-night arrival, since the price is agreed in advance and the driver already knows when you land.

Arrival tips

  1. Passengers on international flights clear passport control and customs before reaching the arrivals hall, so expect extra time after touchdown; our driver works from your actual landing time.
  2. Your confirmation gives the meeting point for your terminal. Check your arrival terminal again before departure, because some airlines are relocating to JFK's new terminals.
  3. Accept only the ride you arranged. JFK warns travelers not to take rides from drivers or individuals who approach them without a request.
  4. Construction around the terminals can slow curbside traffic. Keep your phone on after landing so you can reach your driver quickly using the number we send.
  5. AirTrain rides between JFK terminals are free, which helps if you landed at a different terminal than planned and need to reach your meeting point.

JFK transfer questions

How long does the drive from JFK to Manhattan take?

JFK is about 15 miles by highway from Midtown Manhattan, but the drive time depends on traffic, the hour and your exact address. Weekday rush hours and Friday afternoons are usually the slowest periods, and terminal-area construction can add time. Your fixed price is set when you book, so a slow trip on the Van Wyck does not change what you pay.

Which JFK terminal will I arrive at?

JFK currently uses Terminals 1, 4, 5, 7 and 8, and each airline is assigned to one of them. Because the New Terminal One and a new Terminal 6 are opening in phases, some carriers are changing terminals. Check with your airline before departure; your booking confirmation gives the meeting point for the terminal you arrive at.

What if my international flight into JFK is delayed or immigration takes longer?

We track your flight and schedule the pickup around your actual landing time rather than the timetable. International arrivals at JFK must clear passport control and customs and collect bags before meeting a driver, and queues vary by time of day. Your driver's name and phone number are sent before you land, so you can make contact once you are through.

Which vehicle should I book for a family arriving at JFK?

A Sedan carries up to 3 passengers with 3 bags, a Minivan up to 6 passengers with 6 bags, and a Sprinter Van up to 14 passengers. Long-haul travelers often carry more luggage than expected, so size up if in doubt. Child seats are available on request; add them when you book so the vehicle arrives equipped.
